I second the idea of an option to move the cat gently. I also think it could be a cute idea to sometimes have the cat stare at the mouse icon and if the mouse gets close enough, it tries to swat at it like a laser pointer (but doesn't actually affect the mouse position). Besides that, it's an adorable little program and I love it very much.
Do you think you could add an option to move the cat that doesn't result in the "throw" response? I feel bad when I have to move my cat and he acts all hurt :(

not sure if it's a glitch but if you have two cats and they sit extremely close, when you try to pick them up the cats fuse and you gotta throw to separate them.

you should add a mode (tied to a key so you could turn it off.) where the cat could kind of mess with you like maybe it could pounce up and drag your mouse down or paw at or pap at the top of the tab to minimize the tab (not close tabs that could cause issues) but you don't have to listen to this I'm just thinking and I already love the little guy wandering around. Thanks a bunch!

I Really want this cute little humble kitty cat but when i download the folder, extract it, open the folder "executable", open "CatCompanion" But The It Just Says: "The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP140.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." then, i pressed "OK" and then it said: "The code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME140.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." I tried reinstalling this but it still didn't work and it said the exact same thing. I don't know what to do :(

I wish I could interact more with the cat, for example pat it or play with it or another ideea would be to feed it something like a fish for example. That's it :)
Sounds like a strange bug, you could try pressing f3 for the debug mode and see if there are any invisible windows that the cat is floating on. If not then you could come onto the discord and send some pictures which would help figure out what is going on :)

Hi, yes I believe the issues are related. I have never put anything on the itch page because I have not tried it on a windows 7 device before so I didn't want to assume anything.

hi, so i don't know if this exactly has something to do with your application or not but when i opened the application it had made my screen go red. it was only when i force shut down the application in task manager did that fix the problem. i love this application by the way <3 its super cute but i really hope you can fix some of the small bugs that come with it.

Right click your cat and press the green icon at the top to duplicate it :)
how do you even open the cat thing? I don't know. can you help meh?
Unzip it, go into the executable folder and double click on the CatCompanion.exe
The only green icon is the 'apply' button?

I have the same problem, but I found out you can also see things when you right click. It goes back to black as soon as I do anything else though
